The life of an average coal miner during the industrial revolution was very difficult. Quite different from the life of a robber baron like: Cornelius Vanderbilt, J.P. Morgan, and Andrew Carnegie. The changes that came into the lives of these people was drastic. According to Andrew Carnegie’s essay “Wealth”, industrialization was a good change for both the rich and the poor. In addition, he states that one must help themselves to become rich and rise to gain wealth through hard work, but that’s not always the case. Carnegie was one of the wealthiest men of his era. His sight on what it means to be and what must be done to become wealthy is unethical, because not everyone has opportunities nor are they as fortunate as others.
Andrew Carnegie’s
