My final is about the difference between the book and the movie “The Outsiders.” This next paragraph is about the description difference between the book and movie. Then the paragraph after that will be about the description of the background or cars that the characters drive or live in. I think that the move and the book where basted of the same story but I think that when the directors made the movie with some different cars or house that can change the movie or they put different things in it so that the movie will look better. Altogether the movie and the book were pretty good and had good meaning to it about want to think of life and it’s alright to not be tough and hard.
The novel ‘Night’ written by Elie Wiesel and the film ‘Schindlers List’ directed by Steven Spielberg, are both based in World War 2 and more specifically the holocaust and the attempted cleanse of the Jewish race. These two texts both heavily demonstrate the horrors and brutalities that the Jewish people had faced during the holocaust. The two depictions of these events have many similarities although one being word and the other being film, however they differ in perspective, Schindlers List showing an outside look at the events where Night is a first person experience. The similarities in Night and Schindler’s list are very obvious but one theme comes out in particular. Many people try not to realize what's true when they don’t want to when they see how fallacious it is. In the first few pages of Night by Elie Wiesel a boy discovers the horrors that are happening in Germany to the Jews and tries to warn others what is coming, ”Some even insinuated that he only wanted their pity, that he was imagining things. Others flatly said that he had gone mad. ”(P.7 Elie Wiesel).

One memoir that will be discussed is Night written by Elie Wiesel about his life during the Holocaust. Also a movie by the name of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas will be discussed.

The play was later copied in a movie in 1984 and the movie shows many similarities and differences to the play. Most of the similarities and differences appear when the three ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future visit him and change his life for the better.

In “Desiree’s Baby” the theme portrays cruelty that is expressed through racial prejudice as well as being “blinded” by the ones you love, as compared to “ The Story of An Hour” which gives the reader a chance to explore the issue of forbidden joy in independence, and oppressiveness in marriage.

The King, Shahryar, decides to spare Scheherazade’s life, but he feels disturbed by his previous actions. However, crime and murder reigns among the people living in Shahryar’s kingdom. Mahfouz centers his exploration on the situation of the most important characters of the previous accounts.
Arabian Nights or The Thousand and One Nights, is a storytelling book and is known to the English world as “Alf Layla wa-Layla”. Arabian Nights has been first introduced to the West in 1704 by Antoine Galland who was a French Orientalist and a diplomat. Galland followed a “free-translation” and obsessed the French audience in his time (Shamma 53). Galland’s translation was followed by other three English translations; Edward William Lane’s in 1838, he was the first who translated in English the Arabian Nights straight from Arabian, John Payne’s in 1882-1884, and Richards Francis Burton’s in 1885-1886. Alf Layla wa-Layla has been written in Middle Arabic, thus, there are a lot of problems that a translator have to face.
