In the beginning when construction a building one had to balance the requirements of that building, Such as the quality of the shelter it provided and how structurally sound it was, with what was available and what could be accomplished. As time went on building became a certain skill that some had and “architecture” as we know it today was the term for the most refined and respected version of that skill. If feats of architecture are compared from around the world it is clear that these different locations have all developed their own style. The great pyramids in Egypt are very geometric while the Taj Mahal has many more round and organic features. Architecture has also evolved through time as building can be seen getting taller and taller.
