Art is an amazing form of expression that allows an artist to connect to people in a unique and interesting way. It has been around forever, and changes constantly along with history, and even scientific changes and discoveries. With these new scientific discoveries, it is very interesting to observe how artists feel about them, and how they relay them through their artwork. Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo are three art styles, and within them, there is artwork that shows scientific changes from that time period.

The Baroque period was a huge time for scientific discoveries. Some of the most notable changes in science were from this time, especially that of astronomy. Astronomers like
Copernicus and Galileo developed great theories and helped prove them as well (Trich, 2015).
One of these was the heliocentric theory. That means that the sun is the center of the universe.
Until this time, it was thought by all that the earth was the center of the universe. Some people, such as the Catholic church, did not like this theory at all and actually imprisoned Galileo for his discoveries. However, artists created beautiful works all about this discovery.
