Life, the Universe, and Everything is unlike any other novel out there. Actually, the whole Hitchhicker’s Guide to the Galaxy series is! It’s a zany sci-fi comedy about...well, life, universe, and everything. It’s bizzare, funny, and even philosophical.The story goes all over the place, and it always keeps you asking “What’s next?” All of the different aliens and situations our protagonist, Arthur Dent, comes across are hilariously fascinating to learn about in depth, thanks to the book often taking the time to inform you on such relating matters big and small with no consideration of their importance to the pertaining plotline. These robotic scouts travel the universe to wreak havoc onto planets that so happen to be along their path to find pieces of the Wikket Key to release the inhabitants of Krikkit from an eternal prison. One of these planets happens to be our planet, Earth. They land in the middle of a cricket match, by coincidence, drive off all spectators and players from the match, and start to engage in the sport themselves just for the heck of it! This is where the potrayal of this art piece comes in. This art piece, labelled Let’s Play Krikkit, is representative of the White Krikkit Bot encountering the Earthling’s interpretation of cricket in the form of the sport. Right here, you have one of the bots examining a cricket ball and bat, as if it is getting ready to play batter. The cricket ball and bat, as one can see, are visible and vibrant in color in contrast to the bot and background. This is because the book gives the description of these robots being cold, ancient, alien beings, providing a stiff and menacing vibe to the White Robots. Therfore, this contrast in color between all subjects in this piece is to set a difference of tone between the bot and the Earth artifacts.
