In the Taming of the Shrew, Katharina and Bianca are two sisters who see the world in almost two different ways. Throughout the play, Katharina and Bianca go throughout a series of situations that show their characteristics and the way they act in front of others. The different characters in the story also see the girls as one being more favored than the other. The girls' moods and feelings about some decisions that they have to make, changes as they way they view things as they actually get to experience them along the way. Katharina is just a misunderstood woman and Bianca is someone who gets too much attention to ever really think her thoughts through. But thanks to the fact that they are siblings, they both still have similarities and they still care for each other despite the fact that there is usually anger and jealously surrounding Katharina thanks to how people like Bianca more. …show more content…

Bianca and Katharina's father, Baptista, prefers Bianca as his favorite daughter. This of course, upsets Katharina since she seems to feel lonely thanks to the fact that she knows that everyone likes Bianca more. They both actually like to be loved and favored by anyone really of course. Also, Katharina and Bianca get closer to the fact that they both have to marry but they seem like they don't want to be married yet. They are both intelligent because they like to keep their studies and they like getting their way however it takes.
