The stories “How Stories Came to Earth” and “Coyote Steals Fire” have many differences and similarities within these two trickster tales. “How Stories Came to Earth” and “Coyote Steals Fire” share many similarities. In the stories they both use anthropomorphism. In “How Stories Came to Earth” the little old spider had a wife, they had both talked and captured animals bigger then them. In “Coyote Steals Fire” they had also talked and played games with their hands. Both of the stories had goals they both had wanted something. “How Stories Came to Earth” Anansi had wanted the stories to share with the rest of the world. As in “Coyote Steals FIre” women were viewed less because during their game there were set of teeth and the men teeth were worth two points and the women's were worth 1 point. The two gods personalities were very different from one anothers. The Sky-God had a very good attitude and was nice as the Thunder-God is very mean and has a nasty attitude.
