The classic Of Mice and Men is brought to life with Gary Sinise and John Malkovich. This was an exceedingly exciting and intriguing film. The hook to Of Mice and Men was sort of confusing. At first it showed a man (George) on a train staring at a wall. Then it showed two men (Lennie and George) running to someplace particularly fast. In the same scene a girl is shown running with a red dress on. The red dress was ripped and she looked like she had been crying. Some men started chasing Lennie and George. He seemed seriously dominant and seemed to think of himself as superior to the other workers. Curley was a bully and abundantly mean to Lennie and the other workers. He seemed terribly jealous that Lennie was bigger and stronger than him. In general Curley was verbally aggressive. Lennie didn’t realize what he was doing and she made it seem like he wasn’t doing anything wrong until she started screaming. That scene was extremely intense and the climax was immensely unique. It had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t believe how much of a plot twist it was. After she died a bird flew away in the barn and that could have symbolized something awful will/has
