Who is the greatest basketball player of all time? Bill Russel, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Julius “Dr. J” Irving are just a few of those with the careers to back this title. However, no players have been debated more than Michael Jordan and Lebron James. Jordan and Lebron, Mike and the King, have been exalted above all other players, repeatedly for their superior play and championship drive. The harsh debate has gone on ever since Lebron’s rookie season in 2004 when people started comparing him to Jordan. The two have had amazing careers and are easily the top two to ever play the game. He has been to the NBA Finals six times and all six times he and the Chicago Bulls were world champions. LeBron has only three championship rings but has been to the Finals eight times. Jordan took over in his playoff runs scoring over 33 points a game compared to Lebron's 28 points. Jordan even holds the record for most points per game with 43.7 in the 1986 playoffs. LeBron did win two Finals with the Miami Heat and one with his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, but he has not been able to deliver in his other Finals appearances. Given the title Air-Jordan, winning dunk competitions, and bring joy to many fans watching his hunger for winning. LeBron has left his hometown and his team in Miami suddenly leaving many fans angry for deserting them. He has been known to flop and complain to referees.
