Have you ever thought where we would be if we didn’t have heroic figures that got the people justice. For example Mother Jones and Cesar Chavez both fought for fairness. Therefore if we didn’t have people like Mother Jones and Cesar Chavez we would probably be working on a dry field with a hot climate or a factory with meager wages, but which of these made a bigger difference?

Cesar accomplished this by hosting boycotts, hunger strikes, and marches. An example of this is,“Cesar was a champion of militant nonviolent social change.” ( Cesar Chavez Foundation, 1) Cesar gave people hope with his motto,”Si se puede.” Cesar not only helped farm workers but he gave everybody hope from all different roots of jobs. Cesar was a common man with an uncommon vision. Cesar had many accomplishments such as forming the UFW. The UFW united farm workers created contracts that provided rest periods, safe working conditions, clean drinking water, medical care, and pensions. Cesar was a great leader for this because Cesar himself experienced the hardships of a farmworker during the Great Depression. Another thing to point out is that Cesar helped farm workers while Mother Jones helped children with harsh jobs. However, Mother Jones made a bigger difference in the life of Americans.Both Mother Jones and Cesar Chavez were crusaders in the fight for human rights, but Mother Jones had a bigger impact on the world because if it wasn’t for her most children would probably be working in factories to help their families pay bills. As a result, if kids were working instead of going to school and getting a good education we wouldn't be where we are today with technology, science, engineering, and so-on. In other words, we wouldn't have the luxuries we take for granted such as phones, computers, or maybe even cars. Mother Jones might not have helped the people of her time but she did secure a better future for
