There have been many great players in the National football league that have played the position of quarterback. Quarterbacks are usually the teams captain and leaders because they are what push the team into victory and pushing forward. According to experts (cbssports.com) Arguably the top two quarterbacks of all time are Tom Brady and Joe Montana. Both quarterbacks have had great careers in the game, with tom brady still playing. I believe that Tom Brady is and will be the greatest quarterback ever to play in football, even if others say otherwise. Both quarterbacks have accomplished great things in their careers both on and off the field.

Tom brady was born in California, and grew up with three older sisters. His family was strictly religious. Tom brady and his sisters played football and baseball every day until the sun went down. Tom brady was a huge fan of Joe Montana. He says that watching Joe Montana growing up made him the player he is today. (Britannica.com). Tom brady played baseball and football in high school. He even got a scholarship to play baseball but turned it down to follow his dream to be a football player. Coming out of high school Tom Brady got picked up by Michigan state but he did not play football until his junior year in college. He was more focused in his studies than anything else at the time. Brady had to battle a rival quarterback for the position of started for most of his college days. This led to many questions when the 2000 draft came around. On paper Tom Brady wasn’t really that spectacular and had poor stats. This let for tom brady to be drafter number 199 in the 2000 draft. They drafted six other quarterbacks before brady. The patriots picked him up because they saw potential in him. Tom Brady didn’t play his first season and got the chance of a lifetime in the year 2001 when his starting quarterback got injured. Both quarterbacks grew up around sports. Tom and Joe were very passionate about playing in the national football league. They were not super stars when it came to high school or college football, they didn’t even start to play for their team until they were juniors in college. Once they were drafted they were backups until their second year on the team. They both played the same position as quarterback and they have multiple super bowl wins. Tom and Joe are very family oriented and want the best for their kids. Both Tom and Joe broke many Football records that are known to be almost impossible to beat.
