Comparisons
When starting a new chapter in life, the mind begins to think of all the differences that are approaching and fails to process the similarities. For example, the differences of high school and college are far less than most believe. There are just as many similarities as differences between the two. Differences can include the amount of people attending either, the sheer size of the campuses, and the fact that classes taken in college are completely up to the student’s choice opposed to assigned classes in high school. And to counter, the similarities can include the fact of both being very focused learning facilities, the amount of homework never vanishes, and that both are very big steps to shaping the futures of everyone who attends.

Not only is college now completely out of pocket for the students, and high school was free yet required, but now the classes are completely up to choice. If the student does not want to take a history class, there is nothing to stop them from doing what they please. But at the same time high school curriculum can be compared to how majors work in college. They both want to get you somewhere on track. The freedom of choice is still present, but most students will follow a plan. The massive size difference of the campuses and the amount of students is more than overwhelming when entering college. It is more than likely that most get lost on the first days, but with college campuses it's even more difficult than before. Buildings are marked poorly and there are now 3 or 4 story buildings compared to the measly 1 story that so many are used to. And there are people walking around at all times of the day. High school had a limited amount of students, but college is packed full of people who want to get somewhere in
