COMPETITIVE REVIEW The first tablet computer was introduced in 2000 by Microsoft. It was not very successful, but Bill Gates predicted that tablet computers would become a popular trend within fives; however, he was five years off. A several more tablet computers were produced and sold throughout the 2000s, but they were costly and not popular with the consumers. It was not until 2010, when Steve Jobs introduced the first iPad to the world. Even with its high entry price of $499, it had tremendous success as people had grown to love from the usage of the iPhone and iPod touch. The success of the iPad then began a wave of new tablet competitors, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Microsoft Surface tablet, who would then continue developing, producing and selling newer models to this day to compete with the iPad. As of today, the most fierce competitors for the iPad are the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, and the Lenovo Yoga 920. One of their most popular products is the Lenovo Yoga, which has been around since 2012. The Yoga is a 2-in-1 convertible computer-tablet hybrid, similar to the Microsoft Surface series; however, the Yoga focuses more on the computer aspect. It is called the Yoga because of its flexibility and ability to flip the non-detachable keyboard behind the screen, and turn into a tablet for more leisure usages. The most recent model is the Yoga 920, which features a 14 inch wide-angle 4K display, Eighth Generation Intel Core U Series processors, 15 hour battery life, fingerprint reader, and sleek design with the ability to convert into a tablet. This personalized laptop-tablet hybrid, however, has a much higher entry price of $1,149, which is much higher than the iPad and its competitors
