Does the let off from a compound bow increase the accuracy? By: Trevor and Michael When selecting a bow, you want the most accurate. The problem is that there are so many bows to choose from. To make this an easier decision between two of them, we are going to test the accuracy of the flat bow and the compound bow. The results of this might not mean that the bow is the most accurate for you, but it might give you an idea. Our hypothesis is that the compound bow will be more accurate, because that is the bow almost every pro archer uses and they are pretty accurate. Holless Wilbur Allen is the creator of the compound bow. He made this by sawing off the limbs of a recurve bow and attaching pulleys (wheels) to the new ends. This let the user pull back more weight than you normally would. The longbow were first known being used in a battle during 1298. These bows are known for their simple structure. Though the simple structure makes the long bow more difficult to use.
