Introduction
Behavioral studies are one area of expertise in the psychology field. If one would like to continue with behavioral based work, one option is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. Having studied the science of behavior, one will know of many different behavioral based tests. Based on clients age, there are many different behavior tests. Going into depth a little closer, there are three tests that can studied and administered based on the client’s needs. These tests are the Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scales (CBRS), Behavior Assessment System for Children - 3 (BASC-3), and Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function (BRIEF).

This includes: a master’s degree in psychology, education, occupational therapy, social work, counseling, or in a field closely related to the intended use of the assessment, and formal training in the ethical administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinical assessments OR certification by or full active membership in a professional organization (ASHA, AOTA, AERA, ACA, AMA, CEC, AEA, AAA, EAA, NAEYC, NBCC) that requires training and experience in the relevant area of assessments OR A degree or license to practice in the healthcare or allied healthcare field OR Formal, supervised mental health, speech/language, occupational therapy, social work, counseling, and/or educational training specific to assessing children, or in infant and child development, and formal training in the ethical administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinical assessments (Pearson Education, 2018).

The intent for all three tests is to evaluate and decide if there is a need for extra resources for children based on their needs. All tests have a teacher, parent, and self-rating form, to full assess each need of the test taker. The Conners (CBRS) has 40 different scales to better assess the dysfunction of the intended test taker (Conners, 2015). This test covers a wider range of assessment compared to the BASC-3 and BRIEF, which focus more on broader diagnoses.
