Leadership has a significant role in society. It's the only things that unites everyone together. In the Lord of the Flies the conch is used to help form a society. It kept everything in order and gave everyone tasks they need to do. Without the conch in Lord of the Flies all of them wouldn’t have work together. Leadership is needed in a society to function. Also the conch stands for justice and equality. The conch is what keeps everyone in check. In the novel Lord of Flies there is a conch that is supposed to represent leadership, order, and equality. In Golding's Lord of the Flies, leadership is needed in society to functions as shown through, “"Him with the shell."
