Connected Learning Consultant Position

I am interested in the Vacancy Number DIP/EDU/024/2017 – Connected Learning Consultant position. I am currently a PhD Candidate in the Learning Sciences at the University of Calgary, Canada. I believe I am a perfect candidate for this position for the following reasons.
First, I have extensive theoretical knowledge. My degrees starting with my Bachelor degree up to my PhD were all focused on Edtech and digital literacy and related topics. My Bachelor’s degree was in Information Technology and my final project was to create a Learning Management System that allows students access to information online. My Master’s thesis was on examining the effect of a smartboard on the motivation of students. I trained forty-two teachers to use and successfully implement smartboards in the teaching design and I

I started my career in 2008 as a technology specialist and trainer. During the first five years of my career, I worked at several schools and universities in Lebanon and I was in charge of studying new technologies, providing report on their pros and cons and giving advice on which technology to buy and implement in education. I was also in charge of training more than 500 teachers, professors and staff on using these technology and designing better learning experiences. In addition, I was also involved in the assessment phase to learn from each technology integration from all the stakeholders’ points of view. I resumed my career in 2013 in Calgary, Canada where I have been working as a Learning Technology Coach and consultant with the University of Calgary, Alberta Health Services and several private companies. As a Learning Technology Coach, I have worked on projects such as flipped learning, mobile learning, open educational resources, augmented reality, virtual reality, online learning, e-learning, game-based learning, etc. I have also created and managed websites, reports and conducted research
