World War II was a devastating war for the entire world. This war involved Axis powers: Japan, Italy, and Germany and Allied powers: United States, Great Britain, and France. The causes and consequences of this war were numerous. Some reasons for why this war occurred was that there were so many events that happened during WWI that dragged on to WWII. Furthermore, another reason would be that the rise of dictatorships(i.e. Mussolini, Stalin, Hirohito, and Hitler.) around the world didn’t agree with what the other countries wanted. Consequences of the war had its upsides for the U.S.’s economy, but for other countries, not so much. The United Nations was also created due to the events of WWII. Previously, after WWI, Germany had to sign a treaty in France called the Treaty of Versailles that left Germany in a highly undesirable shape as a country. Hitler knew this, so before and during WWII, but he tried doing some of the things that the treaty ruled not to take action in. (i.e. trained large groups of military soldiers and tried to obtain some of the land they had to return after signing the treaty.) Also, another thing that happened at the end of WWI was the creation of the League of Nations and this was made to stop another war from happening by having all countries agree to this. The U.S. had attacked Okinawa and destroyed their naval forces. If that made America think that the Japanese would give up, they had another thing coming. The U.S. had already asked Japan to surrender multiple times, but they would not give up. Therefore, this led to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and one more request to surrender and another bombing of Nagasaki. There was one more threaten to bomb another city so Japan finally surrendered. At the end of the war a treaty was signed by most countries involved in the war that is supposed to end all nuclear warfare. All of the countries involved signed the treaty except for a few countries and they still have nuclear weapons but they have the choice use it at a say so. At the end of the war the United Nations was created and this is the new and improved League of Nations that work to stop another world war and all countries are united with this. This has obviously worked since there have been no more wars. Relationship between some countries are well now. To point out, Japan and America have a very strong alliance now. On the other hand, some countries are allies and some are not. Such as N.Korea and Japan. If WWII didn’t happen the U.S. probably would have lost the fight with Japan when they bombed Pearl Harbor. This is most likely because we wouldn't have been able to beat Germany and Japan at the same time.
