Conspiracy Theory of the 2016 Presidential Election The 2016 Presidential election was one that will forever be remembered by the United States citizens as one of the most controversial elections ever held within our nation. An election that tested the true strength of our country as it in a sense tore us apart into two opposing sides designed by our unique views and beliefs. Not only did this election cause many riots and protests, it was also full of many conspiracy theories that helped shape the beliefs of the American citizens on the candidates- Donald J. Although there are many conspiracies to choose from and to discuss, the one that caught my attention was the conspiracy that the 2016 Republican nomination was a Democratic ploy to make mainstream GOP candidates look bad and to hand the White House to Hilary Clinton; clearly a false accusation.
