The Construction of the Constitution In the middle of 1776 the Americans Continental Congress began the drafting of the Articles of Confederation; those articles were the initial design of the United States government. The Articles of Confederation were finished in 1777 and sent over to all the states to be ratified, and by 1781 every state had ratified the Articles of Confederation. The Articles helped United States be put on the map; sadly the article had massive setbacks on the American government. The United States at the time of the Revolutionary War banished regular coin money and created their own new paper money. Also at the same time a Rebellion took place, called the Shay’s Rebellion, named after its leader Daniel Shays, it was an armed uprising against the American government, the reason for the uprising was because of the absence of coin “hard” money made it impossible for working class Americans to get loans. This angered many Americans, and most rioted in the street until they were able to provisionally shut down many tax collection areas.
