What relevant academic, co-curricular, or other experiences have you been involved in at Babson or elsewhere that illustrate this interest? Please also include any leadership roles you currently hold or have held.

I am passionate about this course because of the consulting aspect, the culture, and the opportunity to learn from a new perspective. Consulting for Vermont Flannel Company was a very engaging and positive experience. I consulted the small business by listening to the customers, creating new products with left over fabric, and created better signage. Through this experience I realized that I truly enjoy working with

In 2014 I was able to immerse myself in the Parisian culture by visiting small businesses to explore how they are so successful. One thing that I learned throughout my short time in Paris was that the Parisian culture values success in life whether it is in their small businesses or a startup company. The entrepreneurial atmosphere is exhilarating. When I graduate Babson I want to create my own startup internationally, and have taken many business courses prior to attending Babson to achieve that goal. Classes I have taken include Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Information Technology, and others. Here at Babson I am in the process of creating a startup company, and my group has gone through most of the stages it takes to start a company. I have gained knowledge from my experiences both in and outside of the classroom and can apply it to the summer program. I also know what it takes to be a leader. I was the treasurer of my chapter for Business Professionals of America as well as the Director of March Madness at my high school for two years- we held many sporting events where the proceeds were donated to charity. Additionally, I am the starting goalie for Babson Field Hockey

This abroad experience will fit in with my academic experience here at Babson because it incorporates two aspects that I want to concentrate on during my time at Babson: consulting and entrepreneurship. This program can teach me how a startup is created in a different culture than the United States. I desire to learn international startup culture as well as continue to develop my global mindset- something that is needed in today’s business world. During this course I will draw on my experiences from Vermont Flannel, Babson Athletics, other abroad opportunities I have taken, and the academic rigors of Babson College and school to better assist my team as well as the startup we get to consult with. I have high energy that radiates to others around me and am willing to put in as many of hours it takes to complete the task at hand. In order to get the most out of this program, I am going to treat the start up as if it were mine to fully invest my skills, and passions to help the company
