In the gaming industry there is an ongoing debate over the best platform for the best gaming experience! Millions of passionate fans voice their opinions arguing and justifying the way they have chosen to game, but which side is right? Is one truly better then the other, or is it completely subjective? What is the best way to enjoy video games, PC’s or consoles? It all depends on the player. As consoles became more and more common in homes it was the preferred and most affordable way to play games. This caused the majority of the developers to make them the main platform for their games. A major selling point for consoles is there affordability, however this too comes at a price. There are three main console providers in the industry and when their platform is released it is designed with a set hardware, this means a limited amount of power that can not normally be changed or improved. Players can either play online with a game that supports online multiplayer or play alone. You could setup two PC’s in one room but then it becomes incredibly pricey and impractical. One of the, if not the biggest selling points of consoles is “couch co-op” or local multiplayer in the same room. This is one of the biggest distinguishing factors between PC’s and consoles.
