Controversy Over The Greek God Ares: The Greek God

While I was researching websites and Greek Mythology books I read a lot about many different gods and goddesses. I browsed many websites and skimmed through quite a few books over Greek Mythology that my Grandfather has at his house. While doing my research Ares always stuck out to me because of all the war games I had always played in the past. Eventually after some reading I came to the conclusion that I wanted to write my research paper over the Greek god Ares. My goal in this paper is to inform you on why I chose Ares as my topic and also to present some information about the Greek god Ares. To achieve this goal, I have organized my paper into four main sections. In the first section I explain why I chose to write my paper about Ares and just give a little bit of background information over my experiences with Greek gods and goddesses. In the second section I present some general information regarding Ares and I add a few subsections going into further detail on specific topics. In the third section, I present some reasons about Ares in today's society. Finally, in my last section I end my paper with a conclusion to wrap up my research paper over the Greek god Ares. Ares was the brother to Hephaistos who is better known as Hephaestus which is notable because he had many affairs with Hephaistos’ wife Aphrodite (Cartwright). Ares was a very courageous and beautiful god, which definitely helps the fact that he won over Aphrodite while she was still married to Hephaistos (Cartwright). As a matter of fact, Ares had two children with Aphrodite, one being Harmonia and the other being Eros who was the god of love and desire (Cartwright). While Ares and Aphrodite were together, Hephaistos caught the two of them and Ares was temporarily banished from Mount Olympus
