This plant can be made into a tea that helps to reduce fevers, or can be a decoction, which is the liquor resulting from concentrating the essence of a substance by heating or boiling. Common Sumac decoction can be gargled for sore throats and diarrhea.

I decided to do my writing on James Earl Chaney. James Earl Chaney was born in Meridian, Mississippi in 1943. He also went to a catholic school for his first nine grades. He wore NAACP badges to school to mark support of the civil rights movement and was suspended by the principal that feared what an all-white school board would think about it. He joined the fight for freedom as a teenager by participating in bus protests in 1962.
Everyone is wearing athletes’ shoes, and athletes’ shoes helped to make sneakers more popular. In the text, “Chuck Taylor: The Man Behind the Sneaker”, the author states in the fourth paragraph, “Everyone from punk rockers to aging baby-boomers began to view their Chucks as a fashion statement, which, given all the advances in shoe technology, explains why Chucks are still popular today.” Chucks are very flashy athletes’ shoes and everyone wears them. National Junior Honor Society Essay Being a member of National Junior Honor Society interests me in a number of ways. I believe I excel in all five criteria of NJHS: academics, leadership, service, citizenship, and character, and being a part of this national organization will help me improve much more in each of the categories. Many white women worked in Freedom Schools established by SNCC, because of the danger they would have faced working in the field. Freedom schools were originally established to teach African American high school students lessons in history and other subjects, because the education they received from public schools was not very good. They originally had a curriculum, but it was hard to follow. SNCC volunteers were not teachers and did not know about every topic. Chesnutt choses to give the reader an overview surrounding the setting through the structure of The Sheriff’s Children. Chesnutt begins the story with describing the setting which is Branson County, North Carolina. Branson County, a parable rural southern community in the post-Civil War era. Branson which locates "a sequestered district" in "one of the staidest and most conservative States of the Union." (Walcott, 83).
To begin with when Castle made his high tops low tops it was the first time when shoes played a big role in the book. When Castle cut his shoes to go faster but this only hurt him because his classmate Shamika embarrassed him. “Shamika couldn’t get herself together long enough to even speak, so instead she just pointed at my feet” (Reynolds 80). What Shamika did made Castle so frustrated that he skipped school and made him realize it was a waste of money which was already a problem in his family. Another time shoes played a big role was when Castle stole the “Silver Bullets” from the sports store.
In society today, communication classes are highly over looked because of our new developing technology. People don’t realize how much a communication class could benefit them. We have lost sight of verbal communication skills. This class has taught me to put my phone down and communicate with others. It has opened my eyes to the real world without technology.
