Divided We Fall In the book Divided We Fall Danny Wright never in a million years thought he'd be the person to bring the United States to corruption . Danny enlisted in the Idaho National Guard because he wanted to serve his country, just like his role model which was his father When Danny and his team gets called upon by the governor's orders to watch over a protest in Boise, it was supposed to be a routine crowd-control mission, but out of know where Danny's gun misfires, spooking his team and the ferocious and scared crowd, by the time the smoke clears, twelve people are dead and many are hurt. This quote was made by a protester that was at the protest area and this is showing the opinion of the protesters but also is showing that the government is taking action without anyone else in mind. This protester knows that since his/her government is so big and powerful that there freedom could be taken away just as fast as they got it. “If the President Attacks, we shall attack back” this quote was said by Governor Montaine. This is a good representative that people of high power actually do not care and while saying this he got his point across to the President that he would not stand down and take it. Even though the Governor does not want to stand down and act weak it is showing his true colors about his loyalty to his people and how much he actually cares about his people which he does not. “We fight to protect the ( the protesters) freedom of speech and that wanna give us trouble...We will continue to take whatever action is required to stop Governor Montaine”. This was said by President Rodriguez to the Governor because the Governor was threatening the people of his state so the President took control. This is also showing that the president will not back down and he will fight back just like the Governor but he will win since he is a higher super power. The President is showing that he cares for his people and is giving the people hope that someone of high power actually care
