The “dragon” that I would like to defeat is getting my cosmetology license. I am going to slay my “dragon” by working hard in cosmetology and studying from the book every night. I will feel very accomplished after I pass my state board test.
In order to slay by “dragon” I must first learn everything there is to learn about cosmetology in less than nine months. I get stressed out about doing so because cutting and coloring hair is not as easy as it sounds. Doing roller sets and pin curls are not easy either. There are two section for the state board of cosmetology test. The first section is a written test. It is one hundred and fifty questions long. I do not have the time to do so because of school and work. Somehow I will make it happen. My grandmother is one of my instructors at Francis Tuttle Technology Center. She helps me out a lot when it comes to cosmetology. She will be able to help me prepare for the state board test. She will help provide me with all of the materials that I will need for the test since I will have to bring my own supplies. She will also make sure that I have the knowledge to pass the test before I go and take it.
After I pass my state board test and become a licensed cosmetologist I will feel so relieved. Once I find out that I have passed the test, then I will feel like the past two years of preparing myself for that day was all worth it because then I would get to do what I love. I love cutting and styling customers hair because it makes them feel good about themselves, I can not wait until I get to do what I have a passion for.
