Costa Farms is a third generation, family owned company headquartered in Miami, Florida. The company began in 1961 with only 30 acres, with the intent to grow vine ripe tomatoes in the winter and Calamondin citrus in the summer. Just a few years later the future world leader transformed the business, and started producing houseplants. 56 years later and Costa Farms is a leader in the industry, which has global operations that expand as far as China. Costa Farms has been a leader in the ornamental horticulture industry by innovating an introducing new house plants such as the Canela tree and Cecelia Aglaonema. Costa Farms employs 3,800 people, and is comprised of 4 main division, which are the Indoor Houseplant division, Bedding Plant Division, R&D Division, and Overseas Operations.
