The economic system that I am writing about is Costa Rica. This report is about the the location of Costa Rica and how it compares to the size of the United States. Also I will be talking

about the population and the language spoken. This will also include topics such as most

popular sports, the type of economic system in Costa Rica, the GDP and how it compares to the

United States, the infrastructure, the economic resources and export products of Costa Rica.

These are the topics that I will be discussing.

Costa Rica Location and Size

Costa Rica is located in the caribbean sea, south of Mexico. Costa Rica’s size is 19,700 square

Popular Sports Three of the most popular sports are soccer, surfing, and sport fishing. The most popular sport in Costa Rica is soccer. But in Costa Rica soccer is actually called futbol. If you were wondering sports fishing is just like regular fishing.

Type of Economic System The type of economic system used in Costa Rica is an mixed economic system. Which includes some private freedom and government regulation. There currency unless otherwise stated is in US dollars.

GDP and How It Compares to The US The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of Costa Rica is 11,824.64 USD. But the GDP is still continuing to grow. For the US the GDP is 18.57 trillion USD. As you can tell the US has a greater GDP.

Infrastructure The infrastructure of Costa Rica is a small developing country. Yet Costa Rica has benefits including life expectancy, which is nine years more than the world’s average.
