INTRODUCTION

An international retail company called Costco Wholesale Corporation runs a network of warehouse clubs that accept membership fees. The business was established in 1976 in California, and its headquarters in Issaquah, Washington.

The foundation of Costco’s business strategy is the sale of a wide range of goods at competitive prices to its members who pay an annual membership fee. Around 4000 storekeeping units (Reuter, 2021) that carry Costco like Groceries, gadgets, appliances, apparel, furniture, and more are all available at its warehouses. The biggest selling product of Costco is toilet paper which sells more than a billion every year. (Cutolo, 2023)

The products sold by Costco are Appliances, Electronics, Essentials, Furnitures, Kirkland signature, Food storage and Disposables, Clothing and Laundry products, Water and Beverages etc. In the UK, Costco works differently because of its plenty of brands, Costco sets a feature in the UK. Costco is not very popular among UK people (Kalyn, 2023) as compared to the USA because of other brands and other sites in the UK such as Johnlewis.com, argos.co.uk, very.co.Uk, Walmart.com.

In UK, the membership cost to join Costco is lower than USA, but that is not for everyone because, for joining the Costco in the UK, Customers should have to be a registered business, be VAT registered, be certain profession such as teacher, front-line worker, lawyer or accountant (Walker, 2022). For joining Costco, other people should have a National Trust Membership or American Express Credit Card as well. People can buy products online; they do not need any membership for buying online. Some products that are available from the local Costco warehouse are not available on the website of Costco.co.uk because of different prices, shipping and handling fee charges.
