I strongly believe that WW2 could not have been avoided. This is because the three nations or axis (Germany, Italy, and Japan), had all been fighting for the same cause. Retaining their country’s pride, imperialism, and the fight for resources post-WW1. Furthermore, Germany had wanted to retain its pride, since it had been called upon as the reason for all the losses and damages done by WW1, which is quite controversial. By invading countries, Germany will regain the sense of pride and accomplishment as a nation. Although, Italy had also been a partner of Germany in the WW1 they had not been stripped of their pride in that sense, but had instead looked back into history and had chosen to reestablish the grounds they relentlessly tried to attain, notably this had been their unsuccessful invasion on Ethiopia. By doing so, they had been able to establish more land, which had essentially given them much more occupation. Also their invasion had been a barometer measuring how the League Of Nations would react.
