Courage is when your brave and standing up for what you believe. In the book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry the author Mildred Taylor made a sassy young girl named Cassie Logan. Cassie is a sassy child and she likes to stand up for what she believes is right. Mildred Taylor is the author and she based this book on what has happen to her grandmother.Cassie proved that she was courageous by standing up to Mr. Barnett, help get revenge on the bus not thinking about them getting in trouble, and her standing up to the simms. Cassie Logan stood up to Mr. Barnett when they were not being helped at Strawberry. She stood up to Mr. Barnett because she was upset that they were not getting help when they were in line first. She wanted to get help first or before the white girl. Also she did not understand why they were not getting helped.
