What is courtroom workgroup
A courtroom workgroup is an unofficial arrangement between a criminal prosecutor, defense attorney and the judicial officer. The system was designed by James Eisenstein and Herbert, to observe the ways courts especially lower level courts finalize their decisions. The same group of courthouse regulars gather in the same courtroom in which they sit or stand in the same place and perform the same tasks ever day. The only difference in which they face each day is different names of the victim, witnesses, and defendants. The types of defendants and the environment of the crimes they are accused of remain constant. There are also additional members of this court family who also take an important role in the system. The persecutor plays an active role in the investigation of all crimes, the arrest of a suspect, the persecution of the suspect, the termination of parole or probation and senesce received following a conviction. Persecutors have limitless choice in some of the most critical matters and they must consider they are held in high standards. Most of the work being done is held outside the public eye. They have a duty to peruse justice nut operate in an opposed rather than truth-seeking way.
Defense attorney
On the other hand the main supporter for an accused person is a defense attorney. Thie attorney will act on behalf of their client to the best of their ability. In which could be form advising the defendant in discussing what the best course of action should be to ensuring their rights are not violated. Also, the defense attorney is there to explain every step of the legal process being conducted. For instance, if a defendant is found guilty, the defense attorney takes action by preparing for sentencing and offers justifying circumstances to the sentencing judge. If there was a case where the defendant has a history of mental illness or never committed a crime and it’s their first time, in most cases the defense attorney makes these cases for a lighter
