In both Coyote Rides The Sun and The Magic Paintbrush the moral is be careful for what you wish for. The coyote learns he shouldn’t have ridden the sun because it is painful. (on page 16-20) The emperor learns not to wish not to wish for money because he got tricked to be stranded on a deserted island made of money and experiences the pain of loneliness.
