She kept running, stumbling through the dark forest, branches smacking her face as she tried to find safety but in her heart she knew he would get her eventually, it was only a matter of time. Four hours earlier... Ambetria Laylason is waiting for her cousin Mina, she had heard of her marriage to Jonathan Harker and they planned to meet and catch up. Ambetria had time to spare before Mina would arrive so she decides to explore the town around her. It had been a long time since Ambetria had been in London, not since her parents’ death. Normally men fell at her feet but she paid them no interest as she wasn’t ready to commit, while trying to solve what had happened those many years ago in Transylvania. Sitting down in a cafe, she pulled out a book and read while she waited for Mina to arrive, oblivious to acknowledge that someone was watching her. Mina continued to get ready for her cousin, she arrived at the cafe which upon entering was lined with wall to wall yellow formica, blood red booth seating, plants placed in each window sill. Buzzing with people chatting, catching up or simply on an outing. Mina spotted Ambetria waiting at a booth, she continued towards Ambetria excited to see her after so many years. They chatted about life Mina’s marriage to Jonathan and Ambetria’s recover from her parent’s death. Mina questioned her visit to London, Ambetria glanced down knowing there was more to her trip here than just a visit to Mina. “Well, I may have been tracking the person who killed my parents and my sources have lead me to London.” Mina was shocked she would have never thought Ambetria could do something so independant, “What?!
