The Linden children's summer was supposed to be a calm, relaxing, and normal stay at their uncle's small estate in Yorkshire, England. Of course, nothing ever seemed to be calm, relaxing, or normal for Olivia Lydia Linden. Ever. Of course, the summer had started out normally. Olivia’s mother had dropped her and her three younger siblings, Elizabeth, Jacob, and Charlie off at their Uncle small estate, where he began showing the children around the house. You could go in if you want to get a book, but don’t stay long. It’s quite dusty and the servants haven’t a chance to clean it,” Uncle William told her. Olivia nodded and continued to walk downstairs with her siblings. That night, Olivia lay in her bed wondering if she should go to the library. It had seemed like an odd place, and she was quite sure she was very allergic to dust. Better not risk it...but oh, she wanted a book! At last, Olivia convinced herself to go to the library. Shelves covered the floor, filled with any kind of book you could imagine. She began to wander around the large library, and soon she found a dusty old book on one shelf. This one looks good Olivia thought to herself. She pulled the book off the shelf and took it to the sitting area near the fireplace at the back wall. Olivia curled up on a couch and began to the read the book. After reading nearly half the book, she fell asleep with the book across her face. Little did she know that vines suddenly started growing out the book, encasing her in a net of greens. Then all at once, the vines and Olivia disappeared, leaving just the dusty, red book lying on the couch. The next morning at breakfast, Elizabeth, Jacob, Charlie, and Uncle William sat at the long mahogany table waiting for Olivia to join them. They had been waiting for just five minutes, but Elizabeth learned that her uncle was not a patient man when he demanded that she go check on her sister. So Elizabeth went to her older sisters room to check on her, climbing to the 3rd floor to the large bedroom where her sister was staying that
