Bill Eric and Jason trudged through the ozark pines, “Where is it Jason we've been walking for at least an hour.” Bill complained at the back of the group. “Almost there” Jason assured him. just then they came to a small clearing, there was a barbed wire fence, and on the other side was a creek bed leading down the mountain. “Here it is” jason said to the other two. “And you're sure this is the best way down?” Eric asked. “Positive, i've scouted this whole forest, and this is the best way” he replied. Jason goes first, he proceeds to take off his backpack and throw it over the fence, he lays on his back and rolls under the fence, the other two do the same. they follow the creek down until they hit there first bluff. it was a small one, only …show more content…

Jason walked over to a sturdy looking tree and ties a knot and straps into the rope, he grabs his gear pack and then starts his descent down. he got down at the bottom he was standing directly in front of the entrance with a slight breeze blowing his dirty blond hair out of his face, he smiled and knew this would be a fun cave, there is a saying among cavers: "If it blows, it goes". which means, if a passage has a good flow of air, it is probably worth a look. the other two make it down and they enter it together, they are all silent and focused on the beauty of the cave, they explored all of the main passageways and climbed down lower into the cave to find a small hole. The hole is near the deepest part of the cave. It is on the side of a the wall, a few feet from the rocky floor. To look inside the hole jason had to kneel down to duck under an overhanging rock. he used his light and pointed it down the hole to see what he could . he was impressed by what he saw. The wall around the hole was about a foot thick. It led into a small narrow path. The path opened up a bit a ways down the hole. It continued back about 6 or 7 feet in al crawl space. After that it seemed to open up into a larger room. from what he could tell they found a virgin passage. which meant he and his friends will be the first ones to ever explore it! this excited him, “Guys we could be the first ones to ever explore this part of the cave!” Jason said to his two
