It was a beautiful day for the beautiful game of baseball to be played in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field, Chicago: breezy, sunny, but not a scorching hot, sweat-bead kind of day. Merely six miles south of Wrigley Field, we boarded the CTA purple line el train, along with clusters and clusters of Chicago Cubs fans also getting on each and every rail car from who knows where. But, let me tell you, I was in awe; I have never been with so many true fans who knew, not only baseball, but knew the Cubs! “Who’s ready for the Cubs to crush the Astros!”
We started descending down the hill at a rapid speed, fast and faster, going up and down over bumps. As we started going down I could feel myself almost standing because of the bar, great I could potentially die if I don 't follow the rules. Instead of just letting myself stand I forced myself in with my elbows in my hips and my hands on the bar pushing me down. When the ride stopped panic arose in my parents voices. “Morgan where are you !”
.Grunts moved on patrol, being watched by jackals that would occasional whack a grunt on the head if they weren't in proper formation. A grunt that had just been whacked shook his head in annoyance but scurried to his proper position. I awoke to the cold metal pressing in on my aching back, I got up and grabbed the metal latch and slowly turned it i pushed up on the hatch and looked out. It was cold probably about fifty degrees and the metal was even colder and dark green paint was wet with the morning dew. The landscape was relatively bare with a few tree lines in sight. I closed the hatch and waited in silence until the rest of my crew awoke from their slumber. Once they did we all left the tank and make a small fire to cook some grits and make some instant coffee.

It has been only a month since I moved to Portland - I used to live in Portsmouth NH before that. I live in an apartment right across from the Back Cove trail - love running on the trail and watching beautiful sunsets. I didn't get a chance to explore lots of restaurants, but I tried Central Provisions, India Palace, Green Elephant, and Ocho - none of them have disappointed me. I'm so amazed that there are lots of restaurants in Portland - haven't even scratched the surface :)
I got so dirty! So we stopped at a hotel for the night,so i could take a shower,and so we could also get some sleep. The next day was okay except for the part when my mom got pulled over. When we pulled up to my dad’s driveway the next door neighbor started freaking out. Because, she saw a black guy in a white neighborhood, she called the cops.
