Improving the safety of a large amount of people is not always an easy task to do. Just because there are law enforcement officers patrolling the streets in the state and federal level, it doesn’t mean they could keep the country safe. Law enforcement could only protect so much land in a specific amount of time. Even if they had the ability to cover a large area at all times, the average citizen could easily detect an officer; Furthermore, the person may use that opportunity to disperse, especially if he or she is an experience terrorist. Criminal intelligence could go in great use when it comes to analyzing terrorist attacks. Many of the times, attacks that are terrorist related could go undetected only because of the magnitude of the crime committed. A single school shooting, for example, may seem at first as a crime punishable by …show more content…

If, on the other hand, the same type of shooting occurs at a different school for the 2nd or 3rd time, the case could be handed over the federal government, for the federal government may consider terrorism if there’s strong evidence of an involvement of terrorist activity with intent to inflict fear and attacks with great harm. The fact and the matter is that if an act of terror is detected, not only will the federal government be notified, but also everyone else who lives in the area about the danger that exist at the time (“What Crime Analyst Do,” 2011). In other words, law enforcement need to know the reasoning behind a crime to see if it’s terrorist related and provide the citizens knowledge needed to detect and bring the potential terrorist to justice. In my opinion, I view it more as an analytical police force that’s, in my eyes, under cover and not be seen by anyone unless one works for both the state and federal government. If the intelligence is aware of a group terrorist who are bound to attack the United States any day now, every law enforcement official could have access to data that pertain to the terrorist’s goals, when and where the heinous crime is about to occur (“What Crime analyst
