Reflection Paper Introduction The following is a reflection of my time attending courses through Davenport University to achieve my bachelors in marketing so that I may improve not only the quality of life, but most importantly, my professional career. I started my educational career in 2011, and over the past six years it has had its ups and down and rewarding moments. I can say that I have had several academic advisors and received instruction through in-seat, online, blended and even VISL, which was a combination of online/in-seat through video. I have to admit that VISL was one of my preferred ways of taking a course. It was interactive, I had access to the professor and I was in the comfort of my home. My current GPA indicates I made the right decision in a major. There were courses that were a waste of my time and the management of it was useless. I have made significant contributions to my education while attending DU. I have made every effort to work with each professor and the rubrics provided within in course. However, each course I worked with a new perception and a new set of rules or policies as understood by that instructor. It is an adjustment after start each course. This has been, at times, stressful. This past course has been stressful for me, not only is it my last semester and I am anxious to graduate, but a couple of my courses have been a disappointment within the instruction of the course and less focus …show more content…
However, the adjunct professors new their subject well and it was a pleasure being enrolled in their class. Develop business communication based on professional standards I am able to create effective business communications and based on professional standards provided by Davenport University. I have improved my writing skills dramatically and I am confident in my abilities. Critical Reflection Each professor provided a different perspective and had different expectations, which was difficult to adjust from one class to the next. However, I was able to transition to meet expectations. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of ethical, legal, and cultural dimension in business decision-making The courses taken in the area of ethical, legal and cultural dimensions have met my expectations.
