The writer of this article used an example from a sociologist: Nirai Melis. Melis which came up with an idea, in the media women is portrayed as glamorous more than powerful. But men are mainly shown in a powerful way. For example, their dominant poses make them look stronger. Melis also prove her idea with another discovery of her, she found out women are more likely to dress like fashion models, so this makes other to think that’s glamorous. From the research of Melis, she points out powerful women doesn’t seem to be appearing in media much than men. I could tell, because “women make up 50% of the workforce, but the images don’t seem to reflect this.” This means women shown on media doesn’t make others think they have the power over other,
