The purpose of this assignment is to do a review and critique of an identified leader in the chosen movie. I have chosen Ratatouille. The identified leader of the movie is Remy the rat, voice over by Patton Oswalt. Remy’s leadership profile would consist a high level of determination and steadiness. Even though he is a rat, he dared to dream and wanted to be a chef. Remy also takes risks and initiates tasks. He saw the mistakes that Alfredo Linguini, the son of Auguste Gusteau made to the pot of soup. He took the risk by adding different ingredients knowing that he might be caught. In the kitchen, Remy was able to have full control. He knew exactly what ingredients he needed and the steps to cook a good dish. Remy was loyal to Linguine by always being there for him and encouraging him on the things he should do, especially when Linguini was facing relationship problems with his girlfriend. Personally, I am an interactive and steady person. After watching how Remy stayed firm with his decision in being a chef and chased his dream, it is a huge takeaway. He was willing to improve himself and take in beneficial feedback that would allow the dishes to taste better and the restaurant to be famous again.Remy’s leadership style is very similar to Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Their actions and words led to conviction from people around them. Despite the fact that Ratatouille is an animated movie, it was able to effectively convey how a democratic leader should behave a react to different situation. For the movie, Remy showing the staffs how he utilizes Linguini convinced the staffs and he listens to feedbacks for improvements. For Mr Lee Kuan Yew, his speeches convinced the people how Singapore would be like after gaining independence and he listens to the problems that future Singaporeans would worry
