He later hears three gunshots and states, “where there are gunshots there is men, and where there are men there's food.” Rainsford follows where he heard the gunshots, he finds a huge house. He walks in and find two people named Zaroff, and Ivan.
"The Most Dangerous Game" presents a straight forward conflict between good and evil while "The Child by Tiger" gives the reader a far more subtle version of the conflict with good and evil on both sides. " The Most Dangerous Game" has a good and evil side also. The good is Rainsford. He is a hunter that fell off his boat and ended up on an island.
Based on Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark it is obvious that he most resembles the epic hero, Beowulf. Although Indiana Jones posses the same hero-like characteristics as the other epic heroes; Odysseus, Aeneas, and King Arthur's Knights, he mirrors the motivation of Beowulf. The Greek story Odysseus, is about the epic hero Odysseus and his 10 year journey back to his homeland after the Trojan War. Odysseus and Indiana Jones have some similarities but more differences.

Comparing and Contrasting: ‘The Most Dangerous Game’ The short story and film version of The Most Dangerous Game contain both similarities and differences. There are always going to be changes form book to movie no matter what. The plot of both of these is the same though; A man is lost on an island and meets General Zaroff. The man is very fortunate at the time because General Zaroff is welcoming.
Before taking humanities and learning about the other, I had already formed an idea of what the other was without realizing it. I would categorize a group of people that I found strange and unattractive as people I did not want to turn into. I would fear these strange people due to the possibility of becoming like them, what I would later learn as contamination. When I learned about the other in class, I was shocked that I was unknowingly grouping a group of people as the other. I was judging people for being different, for being outside of the norm.
The first half of “V for Vendetta”, was quite interesting. The comic book builds a storyline around “V”, the John Fawkes’ masked man, who scours what’s left of London, after it comes under water years earlier as a result of mysterious presumable bomb. Africa and Europe are completely destroyed, and Britain is left standing miraculously. “V”, rescues the 16-year-old “Evey”, from sure death by crazed men. “V” then proceeds to take Evey to watch the Houses of Parliament get destroyed.
