Roles of women in the Renaissance
“When England was ruled for half a century by queens, women almost had no legal power”. Even though England was ruled by queens for a numerous amount of years there were still problems floating in the either politically or for equality. Women were not given equal opportunities for education and advancement as men. Men had a more powerful voice in many things that women could not do. This lack of opportunity led to insignificant and subservient roles in renaissance society. Women felt the need to be able to voice their opinions about different subjects they couldn't bring up around men.

It was found to be extremely odd for a woman to be voting or having a job because they were just there as a kind of trophy for the husband and for the house. The women in england would often change the styles of their gowns from time to time. The women would wear tight bodices and then wear very full skirts all the way down to their ankles.
