It is a place where dreams are made realities, and unforgettable adventures that shape us to who we are can be taken at any time. For starters, New York City is a rainbow made of people. The diversity and acceptance of the people is uncomparable. We all enjoy to escape our problems but whether that is as serious as fleeing a country in war or as common as realizing you’re so unhappy because you have been living your parents dream instead of your own. I love the feeling as if I have the freedom to be whoever I want to be without the fear of judgement. Seeing all different ethnicities and cultures and just this mix of people willing to see you as person not a gender, race, or a sexuality makes me feel as if I can choose who I want to be. Every place in this world has problems, everyone in this world has a story waiting to be told and New York captures this in the most beautiful way but what is more inspiring is the people who will not hesitate to stand with each other to fight the injustice. There was once this story of this group of new yorkers, who were strangers, and they were on the subway when they see swastikas and racial slurs written on the window with permanent markers. Those who look at each other have this look of not knowing what to do next and those who aren’t are looking at their blanks phones just wishing they were never in this situation. It only took one person to speak up. They said that alcohol can clean the permanent marker off and so they all worked together to remove all the disgusting
