This book opens up in the first person point of view by an autistic kid named Christopher Boone. Christopher walks through his neighborhood and he sees his neighbor’s dog is dead. This makes him very sad and he goes to the dog and holds it. The owner of the dog, Wellington, sees Christopher holding the dog and thinks he killed it.

Tough out the novel, we start to notice that some things the Christopher does aren’t “normal” and as this becomes more frequent we start to realize that Chris obviously has some type of impairment. Wellington was a dog, Chris loves animals, Chris wants to find the person responsible for the murder of this dog so they can be brought to justice, however, Chris has some bigger problems to deal with.
