The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time Many plays on Broadway are known for their spectacle; lights and huge visual effects. This element often gives the wow factor for the audience and makes a huge difference. Though the element adds so much to a play Aristotle raked it last in importance for the six elements of theatre. Spectacle, though very appealing, is not an element that defines whether a play is good or not. A play can have no spectacle, but have a great plot and characters, and be the greatest play you’ve seen. For the play “The Curious Incident of The Dog n the Night-time” by Simon Stephens, spectacle was one of the elements that made this play so enjoyable.
