Special Duty Assignment:

I cannot recommend a special duty for you right now, but once you meet your goal of making SSgt I can see the Air Force benefitting from having you as a Recruiter. You’ll have to get your CCAF completed before then, but since that is one of your aspirations, I suspect that you won’t have any problems completing it. Your latest fitness test was in the high 70’s and to become a recruiter you need to score an 80 or above on your last two tests or a 90 or above on the most recent. Make sure you score a 90 or higher to stay eligible.

The instructor program could really use an executor like you who is willing to focus on the realization of all the new ideas the Training Manager wants implemented. The training requirements that you will be instructing have not changed in years and with the way our job has evolved, it’s time they get adjusted.

Meeting these training requirements and becoming a new instructor will benefit the Air Force in many ways. There wouldn’t be qualified Airmen to do the mission without instructors. They are the continuity and pass on their lessons from one generation of Airmen to the next; this is exactly what the Air Force needs right now.
