Through working at ‘Rossmoyne Senior High School’ and ‘Curtin University’ I have learnt certain IT skills, such as managing networks, support skills, and to how to communicate well in a team. However, I also work very well independently.

From studying units such as ‘Screen Practice’, ‘TV Studio Workshop’, ‘Advertising and Music Video Production’, ‘Corporate Documentary Screenwriting’, ‘Corporate Documentary Production’, Transmedia and Multiplatform creation’ ‘Broadcast production’ and ‘Introduction to Screen Cultures’ at Curtin University, I have developed many skills in film and television creation. This ranges from creating a social presence to marketing products and content on social media platforms. These units taught me value of web communications and how social platforms are currently the new area for promoting and publishing content.

The units I have studied at Curtin University have given me the chance to create certain films such as a documentary piece for ‘Rossmoyne Senior High School’ (which I wrote, directed, produced and edited) and a promotional piece for the Female football players at Swan districts football club (which I directed and edited). The role has given me experience in how to work fast and efficiently when filming and editing. This role has also allowed me be creative in how I fix filming issues that may arise such as loud background noise or a constantly changing lighting environment. Through this position I was also given the task of being the lead video editor and lead videographer for the Curtin Innovation Grant Program. This program requires me to contact staff across campus and then interview them. I am then required to edit down the interviews into three different videos covering different topics. This position has given me experience in being a lead on a projector, teaching others how to edit/film and to release high quality videos on a tight
