Abstract This paper will provide a strategy point of view of the drugstore called CVS Healthcare Corporation. In addition, this paper will give the reader more information such their history, mission/vision statement and financial ratio analysis. Furthermore, I will give a SWOT analysis and take their weaknesses and threats to determine the top three strategies to improve their future business. The reader should see the overall picture of the business strategy for CVS. History & Milestone A lot of times, I go into drugstores such as CVS or Walgreens to see what sales they have for the week. Mission & Vision Statement Their mission statement states, “"Above all else … our mission is to improve the lives of those we serve by making innovative and high-quality health and pharmacy services safe, affordable and easy to access." (CVS) In addition, their vision statements states, "We strive to improve the quality of human life.” The campaign “Be the First” is a great step into leading your company into improving the quality of human life or making innovative and high-quality health services, then I don’t know what else could. CVS not only trying to strive for the best but they are encouraging others to follow in their footsteps. Industry or Industries CVS operates within ‘Retail Health Care’, would mean CVS depends on drug wholesalers, retail stores and Internet & mail order retail to operate successfully. Drug wholesalers, would be the major distributor for CVS. CVS depends on their wholesalers to order and delivery pharmaceuticals and related products obtained from manufacturers.
