Two months before his release from the work camp, Dahmer gained parole and moved to 924 North 25th Street. One week after he moved into his new apartment, he murdered Raymond Smith, a male protistute. Smith was promised fifty dollars for sex. Smith was given a drink that had seven sleeping pills and he was then strangled by Dahmer. The next day Dahmer bought a camera and posed Smith in suggestive poses before he dismembered Smith in the bathroom. Dahmer kept the skull. Three months after the murder of Smith, Dahmer found a man named Ernest Miller, who went to Dahmer’s apartment for fifty dollars and agreed to let Dahmer listen to his heart and stomach. Dahmer put Miller’s heart and portions of flesh in the fridge for later consumption. The rest of the flash was gotten rid of, however Dahmer did preserve the skeleton. Dahmer’s next victim was twenty-two year old David Thomas. Dahmer met Thomas at Grand Avenue Mall. Dahmer promised Thomas drinks and cash if he would pose nude. Dahmer did not find Thomas attractive after he gave sedatives to him, but he was afraid that Thomas would press charges if he awoke, so Dahmer strangled and dismembered Thomas and photographed the process. After this murder Dahmer did not kill for five months because he could not lure men to his apartment. Dahmer’s next victim was seventeen year old Curtis Straughter. Dahmer met Straughter at a bus stop, Dahmer lured Straughter to his apartment to pose for nude photos in exchange for sex. Dahmer drugged and strangled Straughter with a leather strap. Lacy was strangled and and decapitated after having sex. Dahmer also had sex with Lacy’s corpse. Lacy’s head and heart was placed in the refrigerator and his skeleton was retained. Dahmer’s last victim was Joseph Bradehoft, who was a father of three children. Bradehoft was looking for work in Milwaukee. Dahmer lured Bradehoft to his apartment after Dahmer learned that he was fired from his job. Bradehoft was strangled and left on Dahmer’s bed for two days. Bradehoft’s head was covered with maggots, but Dahmer still decapitated the body and cleaned the head to put in his freezer. Dahmer then acidified Bradehoft’s body. Dahmer’s modus operandi was to select his victims usually at a gay bar or environment. He would convince the victim to go back to his apartment for nude photos or sex. Sometimes he and the victim would engage in interourse and then Dahmer would kill his victim or sometimes he would just kill his victim. Dahmer would always drug his victim before strangling the victim. After the victim was dead, Dahmer would have sex with the dead body.
